This couple was looking to make some cosmetic changes to their dated bungalow with new flooring, paint, millwork and updated lighting & plumbing fixtures. Weaver Design assisted with the colour selections and the home owners selected all of the appliances and fixtures (plumbing & lighting) on their own. The kitchen layout was a team effort between the home owner and the design team at Kitchen Craft.

The home owners wanted to do do something different with their kitchen cabinets and decided on doing two different cabinet colours to mix things up. Together we selected Kitchen Craft’s Maple Nimbus for the uppers and Maple Thunder for the lowers, pantry unit and bathroom vanities. A modern subway tile was added along with a funky mosaic tile as a decorative horizontal band. A new countertop, appliances and light fixtures were installed to complete the look.

We also gave their two bathrooms a face-lift with new tiles and a fresh coat of paint! A small niche was added to hold some of their shampoo bottles. Having the shower wall tiles go all the way up to the ceiling really helped to make this room feel larger. The home owners selected new plumbing fixtures and lighting to further update the bathrooms. Bye, bye grey tub!

New vinyl plank tiles were installed throughout the main floor and down into the basement (with the exception of the new carpet in the upstairs bedrooms). The walls received a fresh coat of paint and new light fixtures.

To keep with the ‘clean’ look of their new decor, custom stair treads were made to avoid needing to use bulky stair nosings. The same vinyl was used on the stringers with a painted wood cap.
