Give your millwork an instant facelift by swapping out outdated hardware for something more unique and higher quality.
Make your windows look larger by hanging your curtain rods close to the ceiling and roughly 6″ – 8″ out on either end. Drapery panels should either touch or sit just slightly above the floor.
Use the correct size area rug. An undersized rug can instantly cheapen the look of a space. The front legs of all your furniture should be sitting on the area rug. If using under a dining room set, make sure the chairs still fit on the area rug when they are pulled out.
